At McDermotts we have been selling furniture since 1964. From our Spencer Street stores in Castlebar Co Mayo, we stock all the latest on trend brands from Ireland, Europe and beyond!

Our original store houses a fantastic array of sofa & dining collections – Here you will find quality sofa brands such as Parker Knoll, Himolla, Aqua Clean, Alexander & James, Lounge Co. and Stressless plus dining ranges from major European manufacturers such as Bontempi, VanJakob & Bodhal. You will also find our brand new Carpet dept. here where we are agents for Ulster Carpets, Westex, Adams & Crucial Trading, to name but a few.

Directly across the street we have another beautiful store which houses our newest brands, XOOON & CoCo Maison along with our superb SleepSpa which showcases our mattresses, including King Koil, Harrison and Somnus brands, bedroom furniture and a linens selection. Here you will also find our latest addition, a garden furniture dept. trading as ‘Room Outside’ and an Outlet section with end of line sofas and more. You will also find our FREE customer car park to the rear of this beautiful, listed, cut-stone building.

Ireland’s only stand-alone FAMA shop is adjacent to this store. Without doubt, the most comprehensive display of FAMA products to be found and with our always-low pricing policy, you are assured of the best price!

More important than our impressive showrooms and the fantastic on-trend products that we offer, is our highly knowledgeable sales staff who are help to help, advise, but not over-sell! With our expert furniture delivery crews and carpet fitters on hand, you know you are in safe hands when purchasing with us!

Our Furniture crews deliver to Co. Galway at least twice every week and to Co. Sligo and Co. Roscommon at least once per week. Our delivery service is FREE throughout Connacht but we do levy a small charge for other counties. We typically do an East Coast run most weeks, covering Co. Longford (€29) Co. Meath (€49), Co. Dublin (€49) Co. Westmeath (€49) Co. Kildare  (€49), Co. Wicklow (€49) and a run south covering Co. Clare (€29) Co. Limerick (€29) and Co. Tipperary (€49) every second week. We cover Co. Carlow (€49),  Co. Kilkenny (€49), Co. Cavan (€49), Co. Monaghan (€49) &  Co. Louth (€49) at least once a month. We deliver to Co. Donegal (€49) typically every couple of weeks. Deliveries to Counties Cork, Kerry Wexford and Waterford are available monthly at €75  For any other areas, we are happy to discuss delivery arrangements.
