At McDermott’s we are proud to offer a Nationwide Delivery & Assembly service.
We provide our own delivery service staffed with our own, experienced crews.

Delivery Pricing:

This service is free of charge anywhere in Connacht and is available nationwide, with a small varying charge. The graphic below outlines the charges for each area.
Outlet-only purchases incur a €25 delivery fee within Connacht. 

As part of our service, we will deliver the items to the room of your choice, unwrap, assemble as required and remove packaging – ready for you to enjoy. Just let our dispatch team know when they ring to arrange delivery if you have any special requirements for delivery. We will do our best to accomodate.

Online Delivery Times: 

Delivery time estimates are provided on product pages. This time is given in good faith. From time to time, some slippage may occur for a variety of reasons, often out of our control such as global shipping delays and material shortages. No liability can be accepted on behalf of McDermotts House Furnishers Ltd. for unforeseen delays.

If a product does not have a delivery time, leave a question in the section below the product and we’ll get back to you with the details as soon as possible. Or email us sales@mcdermotts.ie for other delivery related queries.

Our vans cover virtually all of Connacht each week and most of the €29 & €49 areas every two weeks. The €75 runs are typically once per month.

How Will My Furniture Be Delivered?

We aim to always delivery your new furniture in our distinctive own-brand vans, with our experienced and friendly 2-man delivery crews, who will strive to make your delivery as stress-free and enjoyable as possible!

A few days before your furniture is due to be delivered, we will contact you on the phone number you have provided to arrange a delivery date and our estimated time of arrival to your home. We will typically wait until all the items you have ordered are in-stock before contacting you. However, if you require a specific item as soon as possible, please contact us so we can make arrangements. 

Providing access is available, our delivery team will place your furniture in the room of your choice as well as doing all required assembly. We will also take all packaging away with us to dispose of. 

Please make sure to check your furniture before signing the delivery note confirming all item/s have been received.

Accessories Delivery

All accessories deliveries are carried out by .

We charge €10 delivery fee per accessories-only order. 

If you order furniture and accessories in the same order, we will deliver all items together at the relevant furniture delivery price. If you have any special requirements, do not hesitate to contact us with your order number and we will do our best to accomodate you.

I Ordered an Item That Was In-Stock, Will it Arrive Sooner?

We aim to deliver items that we carry in-stock within 2 weeks of your order. €75 delivery area may be a slighlty extended delivery time. 

Why is my delivery later than expected?

We strive to have your delivery to your home as soon as possible, but occasionally things don’t always go as planned.

The delivery times that we provide are an approximation and given in good faith, we can’t be held responsible for direct or indirect delays due to reasonable or unforeseen circumstances. But, we will always apologise and get things sorted as quickly as possible.

No matter where you live on our island, we will get to you, but if you live in the middle of nowhere, please be patient as try to figure out the best way to get to you!

What if my new furniture doesn’t fit on delivery?

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to let us know of any difficulties that we may have delivering to your home. This includes narrow stairs and doorways for example. 

Please have the route to the room(s) for your new furniture clear, safe and without any extra obstacles for our delivery crew!

If a product you’re viewing doesn’t have it’s dimensions written in the product description, or in the Spec Sheet pdf often provided, please leave us a messagee below that same product and we’ll update it as soon as we can!

What if I wish to cancel my order?

The following information applies to orders placed on the McDermott’s House Furnishers website and telephone orders only (if you have purchased in store, please speak to a member of our sales team for more information 094 90 22500 / sales@mcdermotts.ie ).

Cancellation Pre-Delivery

Stock Items: If you wish to cancel an order, that was marked as ‘In Stock’, and has not yet been delivered to you, contact us as soon as possible to process a full refund.
Please quote your order number and all relevant information.
This applies to products that we hold in-stock, and not to made-to-order, non-stock products.

Non-Stock Orders: If you have placed a non-stock order, and have not contacted us to cancel your order within 3 days of placing your order, it is likely that we have commissioned a supplier to produce the product for you. In compliance with the Competition & Consumer Protection Commision, we reserve the right to charge an 18% re-stocking charge on custom orders if not cancelled within 3 days of the order being placed

Cancellation Post-Delivery:

Stock Items: If after receiving your stock item/s you have a change of heart and wish to return it/them, you have up to 14 days from the day you receive your item/s to contact us in writing by email to sales@mcdermotts.ie or by post.
We will refund 100% of the price paid for the product to you immediately, excluding any delivery charges.

Please be aware that if you are returning the item/s, and they have no defects or faults, you will be required to arrange and pay for the costs of returning them. If you are not able to arrange to return your item/s, we can arrange to collect the goods for you and we reserve the right to charge you the direct cost of collection.

Non-Stock Orders: If you have placed a custom order, and have not contacted us to cancel your order within 3 days of placing your order, it is likely that we have commissioned a supplier to produce the product for you. In compliance with the Competition & Consumer Protection Commision, we reserve the right to charge an 18% re-stocking charge on custom orders if not cancelled within 3 days of the order being placed.

Due to hygiene safety reasons pillows, duvets, and bed accessories with opened packaging cannot be returned unless in accordance with your legal rights – for example, if the product was confirmed as defective by us.

Faulty Items: 

If your product has been delivered to you with a defect/fault, please contact us as soon as possible on 094 90 22500 or sales@mcdermotts.ie. We will do our best to help resolve any issues that you have as quickly as possible, and in line with the Consumer Protection Regulations.

Our Click & Collect service is perfect if you want the convenience of shopping online, without the delivery costs!

Available Monday to Friday 09:30 to 18:00. 

Simply order your items online, wait for your order confirmation, and we will contact you once your whole order is in stock to arrange collection. 

This way, you can order your item(s) online and then pick them up from our Collection Point when they arrive in-stock. You might also get your order earlier than expected as you won’t need to wait for a delivery slot.

If confirmed prior to delivery, either with our sales staff or with our dispatch team, and at an additional cost, we will remove your old furniture, on a like-for-like basis, re-cycle where appropriate and dispose of safely when recycling is not an option.

How can I pay for my order online?

Why is the colour of products different online?

Colours and textures don’t always display accurately on-screen. Things can look darker or lighter than they really are! To avoid disapointment on the day of your delivery, we highly recommend that you call in-store and see our products in real life! 

What if I don’t want to place my order online? 

We are happy to take orders over the phone. Ring us on 094-90-22500 and let us know how we can help!

Why can’t I find what I’m looking for?

We do our best to have everything that is in our showroom on our website and available for sale!
