Sales Associate – Full Time – Castlebar

An exciting opportunity has arisen at McDermott’s Furniture as we continue to grow and bring our style to homes across Ireland.
Our approach is simple: we employ nice people to sell nice furniture to nice homes. From our Mayo roots, we now deliver to homes across all 32 counties on the island of Ireland – a journey that led to the opening of our state-of-the-art showroom in Ennis, Co. Clare.
We are now seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our team at our Castlebar showroom. No previous sales experience is necessary – full training will be provided. This role is suited to someone with a genuine interest in people and interiors, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn.
About the role
- Welcoming and assisting customers as they browse our showroom
- Building product knowledge across our furniture and homeware ranges
- Supporting customers through their buying journey, from first enquiry to purchase
- Contributing positively to a supportive, team-focused showroom environment
- Representing the McDermott’s brand with professionalism and warmth at all times
About you
- No previous sales experience required – we will provide full training
- Friendly, approachable, and a natural communicator
- Well-presented and comfortable engaging with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- A genuine interest in interiors, design, or premium products is a bonus
