Senior Sales Consultant – Full Time – Castlebar

An exciting opportunity has arisen at McDermott’s Furniture as we continue to grow and bring our style to homes across Ireland.

Our approach is simple: we employ nice people to sell nice furniture to nice homes. From our Mayo roots, we now deliver to homes across all 32 counties on the island of Ireland – a journey that led to the opening of our state-of-the-art showroom in Ennis, Co. Clare.

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join our Castlebar showroom. This is a role for someone with high personal integrity, natural charm, and a forward-thinking mindset – someone who understands that exceptional sales begin with genuine relationships, product knowledge, and trust.

About the role

  • Deliver a premium, consultative sales experience to customers

  • Confidently sell high-value products, guiding customers from initial enquiry to final purchase

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients

  • Contribute positively to a supportive, team-focused showroom environment

  • Represent the McDermott’s brand with professionalism and warmth at all times

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience selling high-value goods (furniture experience is welcome but not essential)

  • Proven ability to close sales while maintaining an excellent customer experience

  • Well-presented, personable, and naturally engaging

  • Trustworthy, proactive, and commercially aware

  • Passionate about quality, interiors, or premium products
